About the role

ENCORA TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer on a contract basis to strengthen its cloud environments across AWS and Azure. The role focuses on securing government‑cloud (GCC) and public‑sector workloads throughout the island.

Key responsibilities

Conduct cloud security assessments, architecture reviews and risk assessments for AWS and Azure environments.
Design, implement and maintain secure landing zones, guardrails and baseline configurations.
Hardening of cloud infrastructure, services, VMs, containers and platform components using approved standards.
Develop IaC scripts (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) to automate security hardening, monitoring and compliance.
Manage identity and access controls, including least‑privilege, federation, privileged access and secret/key management.
Configure network security controls such as segmentation, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection and encryption.
Maintain security monitoring, logging and alerting; support threat detection, investigation and incident response.
Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
Perform vulnerability assessments, configuration reviews and remediation tracking for workloads.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to close findings and improve security processes.

Required profile

Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud security engineering, preferably with AWS and Azure.
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.

Required skills

AWS and Azure security services (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, etc.).
Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, ARM templates.
CI/CD tools: GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
Container and Kubernetes security (AKS, EKS, image scanning, runtime protection).
Security posture management tools such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Lacework, Orca.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks: CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS.
