About the role
The internship focuses on developing and characterising hexagonal boron nitride (h‑BN) thin films for thermal management in advanced semiconductor packaging. You will receive one month of structured laboratory training and then work alongside senior researchers on thin‑film growth, process monitoring and material characterisation.
Key responsibilities
- Support thin‑film growth, process monitoring, and material characterisation activities for h‑BN film development.
- Summarise experimental findings in a scientific report and present results to the project team.
Required profile
- Basic knowledge of materials science, thin films, and semiconductor processing.
- Basic understanding of dielectric materials and electrical characterisation.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with FTIR, SEM, ellipsometry, XPS, electrical measurement tools and PECVD systems (training provided).
- Ability to perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and data analysis.
