College Intern – Process & Hardware Development in PVD Al Chambers

About the role

Join Applied Materials in Singapore as a College Intern focused on process and hardware development in physical vapor deposition (PVD) aluminum chambers for advanced semiconductor nodes such as N3 and N5. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to the optimization of PVD processes and the characterization of hardware, gaining hands‑on exposure to cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PVD process optimization and measure metal film properties, organizing data and reports for engineering review.
• Conduct hardware characterization on moderately complex PVD systems while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collect and analyze data from unusually complex experiments to support product development.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex process issues, execute root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers to document findings and contribute to continuous improvement of PVD technology.
