College Intern - Supply Chain Management Trainee

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is offering a full-time college intern trainee position in supply chain management in Singapore. The trainee project gives exposure to strategic supply management and the role of supply managers in driving supply continuity, risk mitigation and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain processes and data to identify opportunities for operational excellence, automation and process optimization.
• Develop data-driven dashboards, analytics and automation solutions using Power BI, Excel, Python and related technologies to support strategic decision-making.
• Enhance supply planning and procurement effectiveness through better data visibility, reporting and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on supply strategies, supplier performance management and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Preferred discipline: Business Administration and Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or another engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of supply chain management, procurement and supply planning processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to spot opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic business environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and/or Python for data analytics, reporting and automation.
• Learning outcomes include applying data analytics and automation tools to supply chain decisions and building executive-level dashboards and reports.

The position is full time, with no travel required and relocation eligibility stated. It is open to students and interns.
