Commis – Food & Beverage Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to support the kitchen team at The Singapore EDITION. The role involves assisting the Chef during busy periods, ensuring food is prepared, portioned and served to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate assistance needs to the Chef and notify the manager of any product issues.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor food quantities, portion sizes, arrangement and garnish before service.
• Serve food in correct portions and receptacles, and welcome guests according to company standards.
• Set‑up, clean and break down work stations; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, store, wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Prepare and cook food following recipes and quality expectations.
• Follow all company safety, security and uniform policies and report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses required.

• Cooking basic dishes.
