Communications Assistant

About the role

The Communications Assistant will support the Club’s branding and strategic communication initiatives by creating engaging content, managing digital channels, and providing administrative assistance. This role ensures that all communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with the Club’s professional image.

Key responsibilities

• Develop key messages, FAQs, announcements and notices for members and the public.
• Provide photography and videography support for events, promotions and member‑engagement activities.
• Proofread, edit and publish content across social media, website, Telegram, email and other channels.
• Co‑create and maintain the content calendar; produce posts for Facebook, Instagram and Telegram.
• Collaborate with the Communications Officer to design strategies that boost brand awareness and member engagement.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners to gather content, coordinate photo shoots and manage production logistics.
• Draft and coordinate the quarterly e‑Newsletter.
• Offer administrative support to the General Manager’s Office and Communications team, including record‑keeping, tracker updates and document preparation.
• Take notes during committee meetings and disseminate relevant information promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in Communications, Mass Communications, Business or a related field.
• Prior internship experience in communications, content creation or marketing is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong eye for storytelling, visual presentation and content creation.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of email‑marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Brevo.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress CMS.
• Basic photography and videography skills, including use of mobile or DSLR cameras.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
