Communications Manager – Asia Pacific Programs

About the role

International Justice Mission is seeking a Communications Manager to lead program‑focused communications across its Asia Pacific operations. Reporting to the Vice President, Asia Pacific Programs, the role will support teams in Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore to design and implement media strategies that advance protection for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and equip IJM program teams and partner NGOs on communications and media engagement strategies.
• Develop and execute regional communication plans that raise awareness, shift community norms and support advocacy goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, content creators and media outlets across Southeast Asia.
• Produce high‑quality communication products, trainings and toolkits for internal and external audiences.
• Document, measure and share best practices to continuously improve program communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public communications, media relations or advocacy within the nonprofit sector.
• Deep understanding of how communications can influence policy and social behavior.
• Familiarity with the mainstream and social media landscape in Southeast Asia.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
