About the role
RENCI is hiring a Community Care Associate to provide companionship and basic care to residents, working within a self-managed team to create an environment that enhances their quality of life.
Key responsibilities
- Listen to residents' wishes and concerns and ensure they stay comfortable
- Support residents' daily lives according to their individual preferences
- Provide basic care for activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, toileting, diaper changing and showering
- Monitor health status and vital signs
- Perform tube feeding and nasogastric tube (NGT) feeding
- Perform basic wound care
- Assist in serving pre-packed medication and applying prescribed topical medication
- Perform and monitor individualised therapy interventions
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Required profile
- Certificate or training in healthcare support and the ITE Home Care program
- Experience in household management and/or eldercare preferred
- Able to work 2 or 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Able to work well in a team environment
Required skills
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in MS Office
