Construction ELV Staff / Senior Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a Construction ELV Engineer in Singapore for the design, installation and commissioning of electronic low-voltage (ELV) systems in semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The role ensures that communication, security and control systems are properly integrated and functional, and it is a site-based position requiring full-time presence on the construction site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ELV systems such as life safety systems, fire alarms, CCTV, access control, public address systems, structured cabling and building management systems, and prepare layouts, cabling schedules and interface drawings.
• Select and specify components that meet project specifications and local and international standards, and coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineers.
• Act as main point of contact for stakeholders, set milestones and KPIs, and manage expectations throughout the project.
• Support installation by supervising contractors, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and conducting site inspections.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover, troubleshoot issues, and review as-built documentation and test reports.
• Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA, BICSI and TIA/EIA, implement energy-efficient solutions, and take part in post-project reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV system design and installation in semiconductor or high-tech construction environments.
• Proven track record managing large-scale electrical construction programs, including installation and commissioning.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills, able to work on several tasks at once and in a team.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of ELV systems.
• Preferred: electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and ETAP.
• Preferred: experience with AI-enabled tools, data analytics platforms, digital engineering solutions or automation technologies.
