Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager supports the Project Manager in delivering complex oil and gas process plant projects. This role is directly accountable for the execution of the construction phase, ensuring schedule, safety, budget, quality, and client relationship objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Act as construction expert during Feasibility, Basic, and FEED phases.
• Develop and compile the contracting plan and prepare contract documents.
• Lead technical negotiations with design teams and supervise contract execution.
• Plan and implement site arrangements and manage supervisory work across installation, construction, and start‑up.
• Report progress and risks to the Project Manager and ensure compliance with official requirements.
• Close the site, produce final reports, and oversee after‑care activities.
• Revise general guidelines for occupational safety and quality system implementation.
• Resource the execution phase together with the Head of Construction/Projects.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with local authority regulations.
• Manage and supervise local EPC companies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in oil and gas construction of process plants.
• Experience with turnaround projects and EPC/EPCM project structures.
• Strong project delivery focus, stakeholder networking ability, and self‑leadership.
• Willingness to travel as required and work on contract assignments.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
