Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will support the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) in overseeing the construction and commissioning of large‑scale water treatment plant projects. This role ensures that all works are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CRE in managing construction and commissioning activities, including processing contractor claims such as progress payments, variations, and extensions of time.
• Coordinate between the design team and contractors to maintain consistent scheduling, cost control, document control, and implementation of quality‑assurance programmes.
• Review and update contractor schedules, providing status reports on project progress and financial performance.
• Manage quality‑assurance and safety requirements, overseeing the consultant’s site‑supervision team.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Approximately 15 years of construction experience, with at least 10 years managing large water/water‑treatment plant projects of similar size and complexity.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
