Consultant Cardiologist (Echocardiography or Device Implantation)

About the role

KTPH, a 795-bed general and acute care hospital serving more than 550,000 people in northern Singapore and part of the Yishun Health network, is recruiting a consultant cardiologist with sub-specialty training in either echocardiography or cardiac device implantation. The role covers clinical, education, research and administration duties, and takes on any other duty assigned by the Head of Department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead intradepartmental and interdepartmental clinical services within the cardiology service, which includes a coronary care unit, 24-hour primary PCI cardiac catheter labs, cardiac implantable electronic devices, echocardiography and nuclear imaging services.
• Teach and mentor junior doctors.
• Carry out scholarly activities.
• Take part in non-clinical administrative duties in the hospital.

Required profile

• Medical qualification from a university or medical institution listed in the Singapore Medical Council schedules.
• Eligible for conditional or full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Completed specialist training in Cardiology with Specialist Accreditation Board accreditation.
• Good track record of leadership and experience in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Candidates whose basic medical qualification was not obtained in English must provide proof of English proficiency meeting the Singapore Medical Council's acceptable score.
