Consultant Ophthalmologist (3-Year Contract)

About the role

SingHealth's Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) is the designated national centre for ophthalmology within Singapore's public healthcare network, with nearly 90 ophthalmologists and more than 800 staff. It offers a full range of subspecialties and manages hundreds of thousands of patient visits and tens of thousands of surgeries and laser procedures each year. SNEC is recruiting Consultant Ophthalmologists for its regional satellite sites, including Changi General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital, and possibly new satellite locations, with opportunities at the main campus. The position is a 3-year contract.

Required profile

• A basic medical degree and a post-graduate qualification in Ophthalmology (e.g. MMed, FRCOphth) registrable with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Completion of a recognised advanced specialist training programme in Ophthalmology, eligible for accreditation by the Specialist Accreditation Board and specialist registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Passion and patient focus.
• Strong teaching and research abilities with a track record of publications is beneficial.
