Consulting Engineer Tech Leader

About the role

Cisco is looking for a Consulting Engineer Tech Leader in Singapore who acts as a senior technical expert and strategic customer advocate. The role leads high-impact technical escalations, advocates for systemic improvements that improve long-term customer outcomes, and drives innovation such as the integration of AI and automation. It also involves mentoring and developing talent.

Key responsibilities

• Operate as a senior technical expert across multiple technologies, leading high-impact escalations and initiatives that span teams and architectures.
• Act as a senior escalation point for urgent customer issues, managing situation rooms and catastrophic outages.
• Build deep understanding of customer environments and pain points, advocating for systemic fixes aligned with Cisco's services.
• Translate technical challenges into actionable improvements for support, engineering and delivery teams.
• Develop and scale intellectual capital through documentation, training, automation assets and enablement content.
• Mentor and coach Technical Consulting Engineers, lead trainings and hackathons, and foster technical community engagement.
• Leverage emerging AI tools to optimize delivery, simplify processes and share knowledge.
• Partner with Engineering and internal stakeholders to close feedback loops and address systemic product issues.
• Lead and take part in case reviews, quality initiatives and content curation, and collaborate across shifts and regions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience.
• Expert-level certification such as CCIE or an equivalent relevant certification expected.
• Preferred: proven experience leading high-impact escalations across teams or regions, deep expertise in multiple Cisco technologies, and demonstrated ability to mentor and coach technical talent.
