Controller – Financial Management for Local Sales Unit

About the role

The Controller acts as the strategic and business partner to the Local Sales Unit (LSU) Manager, overseeing financial performance, planning and analysis for Hitachi Energy Service’s LSU. This senior finance role is central to driving profitable growth, risk management and compliance across the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the LSU’s service strategy, translating it into measurable business plans.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes in line with global and hub guidelines.
• Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Monitor business performance, cash flow and net working capital, delivering insights for improvement.
• Implement risk management and contract management processes, ensuring compliance with corporate regulations.
• Maintain financial governance, internal controls and transparent reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for finance and controlling processes within the LSU.

Required profile

• Strategic partner to senior business leaders with accountability for financial performance.
• Strong experience in financial management, planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven ability to evaluate financial implications of strategic decisions and build scenarios.
• Expertise in risk, contract and compliance management.
• Capability to lead finance process improvements and ensure governance.
