Cook – Indian & Tandoor Cuisine (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare authentic Indian, Chinese and South Indian vegetarian dishes, including tandoor specialties, for our island‑wide outlets in Singapore. The role involves daily food preparation, menu development, and catering support while maintaining high quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Indian, Chinese and South Indian vegetarian dishes using authentic ingredients and spices.
• Operate tandoor equipment and ensure traditional cooking methods are followed.
• Monitor stock rotation, inventory levels, and waste control in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the Head Cook to introduce new dishes and menus.
• Cook for catering functions and conduct menu sampling for guests.
• Maintain daily kitchen cleanliness and lead weekly deep‑cleaning activities.
• Train and assist new cooks as needed.
• Work split shifts covering breakfast, lunch and dinner production.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook/chef in Indian, Chinese or South Indian vegetarian cuisine.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods and on weekends/public holidays.
• Strong attention to food quality, consistency, and portion control.
• Fluent in Tamil and/or Hindi is preferred.
