Corporate Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

An Asian bank is looking for a Relationship Manager to join its Corporate Banking Department in Singapore. The role covers the origination, structuring, execution and maintenance of lending relationships with targeted corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute loan transactions (bilateral, club or syndication loans) across Asia Pacific, with a focus on large and multinational corporates based in Singapore and ASEAN countries.
• Provide a full suite of corporate banking products, including banking accounts, trade financing facilities, bilateral RCF/TLF, syndicated loans and risk participation loans (funded and unfunded).
• Prepare detailed, well-analysed credit applications, including in-depth financial analysis, credit risk evaluation and industry appraisal, and continuously monitor accounts to keep the portfolio robust and profitable.
• Identify and pursue holistic banking relationship opportunities to expand and diversify the client base of the Corporate Banking Department.
• Work closely with Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Operations and Treasury to ensure swift approval and robust execution of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit, compliance and lending guidelines.

Required profile

• Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher; a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is an added advantage.
• At least 4 to 6 years of relevant corporate banking experience, preferably from an international bank, with a focus on the Asia Pacific client base.
• Strong business acumen, awareness of regional market trends and excellent team player with strong development potential.
