Credit Card Billing Analyst (Contract)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring a Credit Card Billing Analyst on a contract basis, joining the Credit Card billing, refund and accounting unit in the SIA Finance Division. Working jointly with three other analysts, each manages their own portfolio of credit card transactions processed through various payment gateways. The post ends in December 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of all credit card billings and refunds for tickets and other accountable documents.
• Handle, investigate and resolve credit card retrieval requests and chargeback disputes with acquiring banks and credit card companies within specified timelines.
• Reconcile billings and refunds against settlements so that credit card accounts can be cleared in the general ledger.
• Manage staff and work positions, and review work procedures, controls and practices for improvement and documentation.
• Participate in or manage projects affecting passenger revenue control, such as card billing and settlement reconciliation, fraud mitigation and recovery from revenue leakages.
• Take part in RFPs and contract reviews with the Commercial and Legal team on appointing payment service providers, card and alternate payment method acquirers.
• Report unrecoverable losses to management and write them off per company policy; guide stations on matters under your charge and attend to auditor queries.
• Work with Projects and IT units on testing and implementing accounting system enhancements, and lead change management where Finance's processes are affected.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting or business administration.
• Prior experience in accounts receivable and general ledger is advantageous.
• Prior experience or working knowledge of the airline and payments industry is advantageous.
• Knowledge of AI and automation tools is advantageous.
• Driven, initiative-taking and task-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills and time management.
