C&S Resident Technical Officer

About the role

The C&S Resident Technical Officer will support and execute the duties of the Site Resident Engineer (SRE), Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Architect (RA) on construction projects. This role involves reviewing project documentation, supervising construction activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. You will work closely with contractors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and to quality specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings and specifications, flagging discrepancies before construction begins and throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise construction and related works, maintaining quality control in line with project specifications, approved sketches, and contractor method statements.
• Ensure contractors comply with the Building Control Act, relevant codes of practice, and requirements of building authorities and government agencies.
• Monitor contractor schedules, day works, and overall site progress.
• Observe site safety protocols, submit required reports, and guarantee that all works are performed safely and properly.

Required profile

• Ability to support and undertake duties of SRE, RE, and RA as defined.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Capability to supervise construction activities and enforce quality standards.
• Familiarity with building regulations, codes of practice, and safety requirements.
