Customer Engineer – Field Service (Singapore)

About the role

As a Customer Engineer (Field Service Engineer) you will be the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and customers to understand roadmaps, process flows and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification or equivalent field‑service experience.
• 4‑7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
• Ability to meet on‑site safety, environmental and COVID‑19 requirements.

• Pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electronics and vacuum systems.
• Thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
