Customer Support Technician

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Customer Support Technician will work in Singapore, providing on‑site support for wafer measurement equipment and related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform standard Tier I procedures, including wafer measurement and preventive maintenance.
• Execute wet cleaning tasks and independently maintain equipment.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit‑management quality control.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and use test equipment under senior engineer guidance.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and represent Applied Materials professionally with customers.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring extensive walking, standing, lifting up to 35 lb, and use of PPE in a clean‑room environment.
• Commitment to safety procedures, IP guidelines, and strong customer service skills.
