Cutter – Food Preparation Specialist

About the role
The Cutter is responsible for preparing a wide range of ingredients, ensuring they are cut to consistent sizes for optimal cooking and presentation. Working closely with chefs, the role supports fast‑paced service periods in a professional kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cut meats, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Maintain uniform size and shape of all cut items to guarantee even cooking.
- Store, label, and rotate ingredients according to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with chefs to meet preparation demands during service hours.
- Keep the preparation area, tools, and equipment clean and hygienic.
- Follow kitchen safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting ingredient deliveries as needed.
- Perform any additional ad‑hoc duties assigned by the company.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation setting.
- Ability to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with positive attitude and good communication skills.
Required skills
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
