Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to lead a lean team of triage specialists. You will ensure high‑quality, efficient processing of vulnerability reports while acting as the escalation point for complex cases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of triage specialists, overseeing performance, workload, and resource planning.
• Perform hands‑on triage and validation during peak periods or for complex escalations.
• Serve as the escalation point for severity rating and validation decisions.
• Mentor and train specialists on analysis, assessment, and documentation standards.
• Own and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and triage platforms.
• Develop scripts and automation (e.g., Python, workflow tools) to streamline processes and reporting.
• Liaise with government agencies, system owners, and security researchers to facilitate collaboration.
• Analyze vulnerability trends, deliver presentations, and prepare management reports.
• Undertake additional duties to support programme objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• OSCP certification.
• Strong knowledge of web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), severity rating, categorisation, root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Experience with Burp Suite and Kali Linux for vulnerability validation.
• Excellent written and oral English.
• Proven experience mentoring junior team members.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to team development.
• Experience in bug‑bounty programs or regulated/government environments is a plus.
