Cybersecurity Associate (Intern)

About the role

Logicalis Asia Pacific, an AI-driven technology integrator with 7,000+ professionals across 30 territories, is looking for a Cybersecurity Associate intern. The role sits within a collaborative regional team and involves supporting security monitoring, alert analysis and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools, and analyse them for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Take part in incident triage by categorising and prioritising alerts, and work with senior analysts on response actions.
• Learn to operate and maintain tools such as intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, antivirus solutions and EDR tools.
• Help collect, analyse and interpret security event data, and generate reports and dashboards for senior analysts and management.
• Support incident response by documenting incidents, coordinating with teams and helping contain and eradicate threats.
• Help create and maintain SOPs and documentation for security processes and incident handling.
• Keep up with threats and vulnerabilities, and help integrate threat intelligence feeds into SOC monitoring.
• Work with IT, network operations and compliance teams, and take part in continuous learning.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork and communication abilities, and eagerness to learn.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS and EDR is a plus.
