Cybersecurity Engineer - Intelligent Transport Systems Development

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer for its Intelligent Transport Systems Development unit. You will help ensure efficient and safe traffic operations in Singapore by working in a team that oversees the cybersecurity solution, architecture and incident response for the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems of traffic and road systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop OT and IT security architectures aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Provide expert security consultancy to project teams and senior management on complex security challenges.
• Conduct security architecture and design reviews and risk assessments of OT and IT systems, and give remediation recommendations.
• Assist in security architecture governance and ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards.
• Evaluate emerging infrastructure and security technologies and recommend their adoption.
• Develop innovative approaches to address complex security challenges.
• Assist in coordinating response and investigation efforts during cybersecurity incidents.

Required profile

• Engineering or Computer Science background.
• At least 3 years of IT security experience; candidates with the right skills and experience may be considered for senior roles.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Professional accreditations such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GICSP and GCIH are advantageous.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, DLP, database activity monitoring, privileged access management, file integrity monitoring, web application firewall and intrusion prevention.
• Security architecture of cloud-native applications and/or OT systems.
• Information and cybersecurity risks, controls, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, digital forensics, compliance and industry best practices.
