Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

Jurong Port is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to lead the administration, operation and continuous improvement of its cybersecurity platforms, controls and governance processes. The role will work closely with internal IT teams and external service providers to maintain a strong security posture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain in‑house cybersecurity platforms and tools, including endpoint protection, web application firewalls (WAF), video management systems (VMS) and other solutions.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to security events and alerts, tune detection rules and coordinate remediation with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead incident response activities – investigation, containment, eradication, root‑cause analysis, documentation and improvement actions.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and compliance scans and work with IT and application teams to remediate findings.
• Provide cybersecurity advisory support for infrastructure, system and application designs.
• Support audit activities, compliance assessments and regulatory requirements, preparing evidence and following up on findings.
• Review and update security policies, standards, SOPs and operational documentation.
• Manage cybersecurity vendors and oversee the procurement lifecycle for security solutions and services.
• Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques and new security technologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT security role.
• At least 3 years of experience in vendor management.
• Strong understanding of security principles, operations, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls, endpoint protection platforms, WAF, vulnerability assessment tools, SIEM and privileged access management solutions.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, containers and cloud environments.
