Data & Analytics Engineer - Learning Technologies Development

About the role

ITE is hiring a Data & Analytics Engineer for its Learning Technologies Development team at headquarters. You will partner with teaching and learning faculty from the colleges to design, develop and implement analytics solutions based on structured and unstructured data generated by students' learning activities and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Build scripts to extract, prepare, transform and load data into analytics software, and build AI models with clustering and predictive capabilities.
• Gather user requirements and turn them into data requirements and insights.
• Explore data, design data models, apply statistics and machine learning models for descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
• Create, test and implement visual dashboards for different stakeholder groups, hosted in the enterprise data lake and using Power BI.
• Analyse learning and learner profile data so lecturers and stakeholders can understand student behaviour during term time.
• Train and advise lecturers on how to use the dashboards, and share knowledge of data analytics and modelling with staff.

Required profile

• Credentials in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in data analytics, statistics and machine learning models in educational technologies is an advantage.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Business intelligence tools, data modelling software and programming or scripting languages for model development, manipulation, aggregation and visualization.
• Prompt engineering and Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs).
