Data Security Senior Associate / Assistant Manager

About the role

PwC is hiring for its Cybersecurity & Privacy practice in Singapore as a Data Security Senior Associate or Assistant Manager. The role guides top-tier clients and acts as a subject matter expert, bridging technical implementation, strategic advice and regulatory compliance. It focuses on data privacy regulations such as PDPA, modern DLP and data classification technology, and secure cloud architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Support data security engagements from strategy and roadmap development to final delivery.
• Advise on technical controls: data discovery and classification, data loss prevention (DLP), encryption technologies and key management, on-premise and cloud data security.
• Translate regulatory requirements (PDPA, GDPR and other regional and global regulations) into actionable technical and operational controls.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior consultants, building team capability.
• Support business development by building client relationships and contributing to proposals.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years in cybersecurity with a focus on data security and protection.
• Expertise and experience in data protection regulations.
• Proven client-facing and project delivery experience, preferably in professional services.
• Preferred: tertiary degree in a relevant field (IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science).
• Preferred: experience in financial services (MAS requirements), technology or public sector.

Required skills

• Data classification, DLP, encryption and IAM.
• Data security in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CDPSE, and cloud security certifications.
