Data Warehouse Intern

About the role

Fuku is looking for a motivated Data Warehouse Intern in Singapore. The intern takes part in the design, development and maintenance of real-time data warehouse systems, works with big data technologies such as Flink, Spark Streaming and Kafka, and gains hands-on experience in real-time data processing, data modeling and data pipeline optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development and maintenance of real-time data warehouse systems.
• Develop real-time data processing jobs using Flink and Spark Streaming.
• Assist in designing real-time data models and building layered data warehouse architectures, including ODS, DWD and DWS.
• Integrate real-time data sources such as Kafka and MySQL Binlog.
• Assist in optimizing real-time processing performance to ensure data timeliness, accuracy and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation and support data quality monitoring.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Available at least 4 days per week, with a minimum internship commitment of 3 months.
• Preferred: previous internship or project experience in data warehousing or big data engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in data processing.
• Familiarity with fundamental data warehouse concepts, including dimensional modeling and layered architecture.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python or Scala.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Flink or Spark Streaming, and familiarity with Kafka, Doris, ClickHouse, Hudi or Iceberg.
• Preferred: understanding of MySQL Binlog and Change Data Capture (CDC).
