Database Administrator (DBA)

About the role

ALTROCKS TECH is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimise both MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server environments. You will work on Azure‑based and on‑premises databases, ensuring performance, security and high availability for critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot MySQL and MSSQL databases in Azure and on‑premises.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimisation and index management.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery and high‑availability strategies.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and deliver long‑term solutions for database issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a MySQL and MSSQL Database Administrator.
• Strong understanding of SQL scripting, stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure SQL Instances (managed and unmanaged).
• Proven ability to manage security, backups, DR and HA in cloud and on‑prem environments.
