Deputy / Assistant Manager, Contracts (Civil)

About the role

The Deputy / Assistant Manager, Contracts (Civil) position sits within the LTA Safety & Contracts group, which manages and resolves contractual issues for land transport projects. With more rail and road projects, new contracts are constantly called in to keep Singapore's public transport system running and growing. The role covers a wide range of contracts for road and rail projects, including the construction of stations, tunnels and viaducts.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure contracts with vendor partners are administered in line with contract provisions and proper procedures
• Navigate cashflow and budgetary forecasts, and review contractual arrangements
• Prepare procurement and tender documents, analyse cost data and administer the award of civil contracts
• Handle payment, claims and variation orders, and oversee post-award contract administration

Required profile

• Knowledge of building, project and facilities management, quantity surveying, infrastructure and project management
• Experience in cost estimation, contract administration or project management of multi-disciplinary engineering or construction projects
• Good knowledge of standard conditions of contracts for engineering or construction projects
• Ability to work well in a team and good verbal and written communication skills
