Deputy / Assistant Safety & Health Manager

About the role

LTA places safety at the top of its priorities and values the safety and health of its staff and colleagues. As Deputy / Assistant Safety & Health Manager, you will give specialist advice on workplace safety and health for LTA Construction Projects and help drive the Zero Accident target.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site safety audits, inspections and enforcement actions
• Deliver corporate safety training sessions and organise safety promotion events such as safety forums and corporate safety retreats
• Take part in the Project Safety Review (similar to Design for Safety) and write articles on workplace safety and health for in-house publications
• Develop new corporate safety initiatives using data analytics of past near-miss, incident and accident records
• Research the latest developments in safety and health and new construction technologies

Required profile

• Knowledge preferably in science or engineering
• At least 2 years of validated experience in construction safety, preferably on mega or large-scale projects as a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidates who are not registered Workplace Safety and Health Officers must complete the WSQ Specialist Diploma Workplace Safety & Health (Level C)
• Those without working experience are welcome to apply
