Deputy Constituency Director – Bedok

About the role

The Deputy Constituency Director (DCD) works alongside the Constituency Director to act as the master planner for the Bedok constituency. The role focuses on strategising, planning, coordinating and implementing community initiatives that build social capital and promote national unity.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and review strategic plans for Grassroots Organisations (GROs) to create a livable, harmonious neighbourhood.
• Identify resident needs, supervise community programme design and implementation, and strengthen communication channels.
• Lead the Annual Constituency Workplan, aligning GROs and community partners with national objectives.
• Motivate and guide Grassroots Leaders and GROs, fostering partnerships with corporate and community stakeholders.
• Facilitate monthly Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Community Centre/Club Management Committee meetings.
• Provide administrative support, ensure effective cash management and compliance with PA financial rules.
• Gather and analyse ground sentiments, explain government policies and channel feedback to relevant parties.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community planning, stakeholder coordination and grassroots organisation management.
• Strong understanding of Singapore government policies and public administration processes.
• Ability to lead teams, supervise programmes and produce clear progress reports.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging residents and partners.
