Deputy Manager, Office of Finance

About the role

The Office of Finance is recruiting a Deputy Manager to oversee financial administration and asset management. The role covers fixed assets, project budgets, policy development and supporting management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee fixed assets, including acquisition, registration, stocktake, transfer, write-off and disposal, in line with organisational policies and audit requirements.
• Administer and monitor projects, including budget tracking, expenditure management, claims processing, funding utilisation and project reporting.
• Support the annual budgeting process, budget reviews, financial forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
• Review Approval of Requirements (AOR) submissions for completeness, budget availability, procurement compliance and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Develop, implement and review policies, procedures and internal controls to strengthen governance.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, presentations and papers for decision-making.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and help resolve audit findings.
• Supervise, mentor and guide team officers, and lead or take part in process improvement, digitalisation and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualification in Accountancy or a related field.
• Relevant public sector finance experience is an advantage.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative, meticulous, analytical and systematic team player.
