Deputy/Assistant Manager, Bus Financing, Investment & Governance

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager for its Bus Financing, Investment and Governance Division within the Policy Sub-Group. The division shapes Singapore's bus industry through strategies and policies that support an efficient, sustainable and commuter-focused public transport system, and drives policy and financing frameworks including new alternative modes such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

Key responsibilities

• Formulate policies and strategies for Singapore's expanding bus network, including the Bus Master Plan and emerging modes such as BRT.
• Design and develop contracting approaches for bus services and new mobility solutions that align the interests of LTA and operators, and ensure legislative and regulatory frameworks support policy objectives.
• Carry out financial modelling and analysis of system finances to support policy decisions and safeguard the long-term financial sustainability of the bus industry, including setting up and reviewing processes to monitor key system indicators.
• Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to support the timely development and implementation of strategic transport projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Economics, Engineering or a Science/Social Science discipline.
• Drive and resourcefulness to produce innovative solutions to policy issues.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think critically, write and present concisely.
• Team player who is adaptable and can work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge or experience in Excel modelling, financial projections and data analytics is an advantage.
