Desktop Support Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our banking client’s IT team in Singapore. You will provide first‑line technical assistance for end‑users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and related peripherals in a fast‑paced financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑user support for desktops and laptops, handling hardware and software issues.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve break/fix incidents.
• Manage user accounts, access requests, onboarding and off‑boarding activities, and peripheral device setup.
• Log and track support tickets while maintaining basic IT documentation.
• Escalate complex technical problems to Level 3 support teams as needed.

Required profile

• Prior experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking concepts.
• Understanding of Active Directory and user account administration is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a high‑tempo banking environment.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
