Desktop Support Engineer – On‑Prem IT & Office Infrastructure

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide on‑premises IT assistance across its local sites. The role combines end‑user device support with office infrastructure maintenance, ensuring a reliable and secure working environment for all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones and other peripherals across Windows, macOS and Linux platforms.
• Provision, de‑provision and replace corporate devices following Ericsson processes.
• Perform basic installation, testing and maintenance of network equipment such as switches, routers and access points, including out‑of‑band, firewall, NAC, DNS and Secnet components.
• Support office services including printing, voice, smart metering, digital signage, AV equipment and workplace monitors.
• Coordinate with Level‑2 teams and external vendors for escalations, repairs and equipment replacements.
• Maintain accurate incident records and assist with audits, SOX compliance and data‑room escort duties.
• Manage hardware assets: receive, tag, image, store, audit and dispose of devices in line with Ericsson’s asset‑management policies.

Required profile

• Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a corporate environment.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail for asset tracking, incident logging and compliance activities.
