Desktop/Service Desk Engineer

About the role

The Desktop/Service Desk Engineer will provide end‑user support for client platforms, ensuring incidents are resolved quickly and service levels are maintained. You will work closely with users, vendors, and internal teams to keep hardware, software, and network services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑user support, troubleshooting client platform issues and providing temporary or permanent resolutions.
• Respond to incidents, update stakeholders, and monitor service‑level agreements.
• Handle service requests, asset management, and user account administration (create, reset, delete passwords).
• Assist with client platform implementation and upgrade projects, coordinating with vendors.
• Administer local servers for software distribution and patch management.
• Document system configurations, produce regular reports, and submit progress updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of desktop or technical service‑desk experience (non‑technical call‑centre experience not accepted).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and patience when assisting non‑technical users.
• Basic understanding of the ITIL framework.
