Developer Marketing Lead – APAC

About the role

OpenAI is looking for an experienced APAC Developer Marketing Lead to shape and execute the regional strategy for developer audiences across Asia‑Pacific. This senior position will bridge global developer priorities with local market nuances, driving education, storytelling, launches and ecosystem activation. The role sits at the intersection of developer relations, product, growth and startup marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the APAC developer marketing strategy across priority markets, audiences, channels and product moments.
• Build programs that increase developer awareness, education, product understanding, adoption and advocacy.
• Translate global developer launches into regionally resonant activation plans.
• Partner with Developer Relations and technical stakeholders to ensure programs are credible and useful.
• Develop repeatable regional plays including content, technical education, events, hackathons, workshops and ecosystem partnerships.
• Support startup marketing initiatives where developer and founder audiences overlap.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in developer marketing, technical marketing or product marketing for developer products.
• Proven track record building credible marketing programs for developer audiences.
• Experience leading regional or multi‑market programs across launches, education, content, events and community.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration with Developer Relations, Product, Growth, Startups and Partnerships.
• Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
