DevOps and Platform Engineer

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government Technology Agency (GovTech), is looking for a DevOps and Platform Engineer in Singapore. The role covers building CI/CD pipelines, provisioning cloud infrastructure and keeping systems secure and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Institute and promote continuous integration/delivery practices within the development team.
• Work with hosting and/or cloud providers to set up application environments and enable smooth, efficient deployments.
• Develop scripts and use CI tools to automate builds, releases and deployments.
• Provision and manage servers, virtual machines, containers, software licenses and related resources.
• Run system-level security scans and harden systems and applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and application services in production.
• Ensure infrastructure meets compliance standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST) while driving automation and standardization.
• Document implementations and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with system administration and scripting on Unix, Linux and Windows.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working with Agile teams.
• Experience managing production systems with a focus on best practice and compliance.
• Added advantage: experience implementing cost-optimization strategies through cloud-native best practices.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Python, ELK, Docker, NGINX, Grafana and Kubernetes.
• Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• AWS resources such as Load Balancers, CloudFront, EKS, ECS and Security Hub.
• CI tools such as TeamCity, GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, CKA) are an added advantage.
