DevOps Engineer (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Activate Interactive is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will design, develop, and maintain production‑grade infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance for our client applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS EKS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD, integrating automated testing with Cypress and Playwright.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Configure AWS networking services (VPC, Network Firewall) and service mesh (LinkerD) for secure service‑to‑service communication.
• Set up monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, and proactively resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to align infrastructure with application requirements and support staging environments.
• Analyze performance metrics to optimise cost and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, deploying and operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to work on‑call for planned maintenance windows and urgent issues.
