DevOps Engineer

About the role

Avensys is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for its diverse client base. You will work across AWS environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and automated delivery of services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery and deployment.
• Develop reusable automation scripts using Python or Bash and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Deploy and configure complex systems on IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms, covering compute, storage, networking, identity and security.
• Manage and optimise AWS services such as ECS, ECR, Aurora, WAF, Network Firewall, Transit Gateway, ALB, NLB, EC2 and Lambda.
• Embed security best practices, conduct vulnerability scans, SCA and container scanning, and support incident response.
• Build monitoring, alerting and observability solutions, applying SRE concepts like error budgets and SLIs/SLOs.
• Drive infrastructure tasks from planning to production, proactively resolve issues and communicate risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in DevSecOps or cloud infrastructure management.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in AWS services and Terraform.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and security tooling (SCA, container scanning).
• Good knowledge of MS Entra, MS Graph API and AWS Lambda (Python Serverless) is a plus.
