Digital Architect

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Digital Architect to define the long-term architectural direction of its digital platforms and products, with an emphasis on reusable components. The role covers the PACS infrastructure policy, framework and design, and builds a future-state architecture aligned with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate the PACS infrastructure policy, framework and design.
• Design a future-state architecture covering convergence, modernization, cost efficiency, business functionality, interpretability, cloud-native design, resilience, security and future-proofing.
• Evaluate design alternatives and recommend designs that fit current applications, operating models and the end target state.
• Own end-to-end architecture and high- and low-level designs of systems and applications, and prepare detailed design specifications for development and modification.
• Define integration patterns, ensure adoption of defined solutions and give technical expertise to application design and iteration.
• Collaborate with other Technology and Digital teams on system integration plans and progress reviews, within tight governance on security, availability and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an architecture leader with 7 to 10 years of overall experience.
• Ability to translate business strategy and processes into technology solutions.
• Deep end-to-end architecture understanding and familiarity with one or more architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
• Good understanding of DevOps and strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Team player, able to lead committees, work independently and solve problems creatively.
