About the role

The Digital Specialist will create and present engaging news stories while managing the editorial content on straitstimes.com. This role combines editorial judgment with hands‑on digital publishing to ensure the website remains fresh, relevant and optimized for readers.

Key responsibilities

• Publish and update news articles, features and multimedia content on the website.
• Ensure content is SEO‑friendly and aligned with current digital media trends.
• Collaborate with editors and photographers to select visuals and edit images for online use.
• Monitor website performance using data‑analytics tools and adjust content strategy accordingly.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field.
• Strong interest in news, current affairs and digital media.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Open to remote work for overseas‑based applicants.
