Direct Entry Captain – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

Singapore Airlines is seeking experienced pilots to join its fleet as Direct Entry Captains on a fixed-term basis. Selected candidates will operate either the Airbus A350 or A380 on international routes, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned Airbus A350 or A380 aircraft on scheduled international flights.
• Conduct all pre‑flight, in‑flight, and post‑flight procedures in compliance with CAAS regulations.
• Maintain aircraft performance, fuel management, and navigation accuracy.
• Coordinate with cabin crew and ground operations to ensure seamless flight operations.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
• Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with an Airbus A350 or A380 type rating, validated by CAAS.
• Minimum 7,000 total flight hours, including 3,000 PIC hours on commercial jets and at least 1,500 PIC hours on the A350 or A380.
• At least two years recent Captain experience on the A350 or A380.
• English proficiency at ICAO Level 5 or higher.
• Minimum height of 1.58 m for full cockpit reach.
