Director, AI & Data Strategy – Technical Product Management & Solution Architect

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead AI and Data Strategy, focusing on Technical Product Management and Solution Architecture for Responsible AI. You will own the product direction of Responsible AI tooling and shape end‑to‑end architectures that embed accountability, documentation, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to develop and maintain Responsible AI and data‑science tools.
• Define and manage technical requirements, epics, and acceptance criteria for AI tooling.
• Translate data‑science concepts into business language for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Track outcomes, detect drift, and adjust scope or approach to ensure value delivery.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, and third‑party vendors to design compliant AI solution architectures.
• Work with internal engineering, legal, compliance, and operations teams to align on infrastructure constraints (on‑prem, cloud, sovereign, hybrid).

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical product management for AI or data‑science platforms.
• Strong background in solution architecture across diverse environments.
• Ability to influence and align cross‑functional stakeholders in ambiguous settings.
• Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and shaping compliance‑by‑design solutions.
