Director, Equity Execution Advisory Services

About the role

Citi is looking for a director-level sales trader to join the Execution Advisory Services team within its APAC Cash Equity Execution business. This senior position supports and develops the Execution Product performance analysis service and the Execution Platform Sales development for the APAC region, partnering with coverage and sales teams to grow business with priority client accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders (MQA, Product, Sales Coverage) to implement customized algorithmic trading solutions.
• Provide performance analysis and research on Algo Execution and Liquidity products (Citi Smart Algos, Dark pool, Central risk book, Swap Internalization) to the top 50 clients across Cash and Prime.
• Design, implement and optimize trading solutions that improve Citi's execution performance and broker rankings, driving monetization across execution channels.
• Publish content on equity trading topics to engage clients and strengthen marketing of Citi's execution products.
• Develop execution consulting analytics and models, using existing toolkits and products to meet client requests and help build new products.
• Build relationships with client traders and quant decision makers to understand execution needs and deepen partnerships.
• Support requirement gathering, data analysis and idea presentations for client Algo Wheel implementations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred (Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar).
• Good balance of technical and quantitative skills and client engagement experience.
• In-depth knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, APAC markets and market issues.
• Proven client relationships and institutional client knowledge.
• Clear written and verbal communication, proven negotiation and persuasion skills; fluency in additional languages preferred.

Required skills

• Algorithmic trading, liquidity venues and market microstructure.
• Machine learning methods such as clustering, factor modeling and advanced statistics.
• Knowledge of Algo Wheel implementations and electronic trading trends.
• Coding and technical skills: Python, KDB-Q, Excel-VBA.
