Director of Development & Growth – South & Southeast Asia

About the role

La Vie Hotels & Resorts is looking for an experienced, commercially‑driven Director of Development & Growth to lead the expansion of its hotel portfolio across South and Southeast Asia. Reporting to the CEO and based in the Singapore or Bangkok corporate office, you will own the end‑to‑end process of sourcing, evaluating and converting hotel management and franchise opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional business development strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Identify, qualify and secure new‑build, conversion, management‑agreement and franchise projects.
• Build and maintain a robust development pipeline to meet regional growth targets.
• Generate leads and nurture relationships with owners, developers, investors, real‑estate groups, lenders, brokers and government tourism bodies.
• Present La Vie’s operating model, brands and value proposition to prospective partners.
• Conduct feasibility studies, commercial negotiations and deal execution.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO on market opportunities and regional direction.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in hotel development, acquisitions or growth within South and Southeast Asia.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of closing management or franchise deals.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with owners, investors and key industry stakeholders.
• Ability to assess financial, operational and strategic fit of prospective projects.
• Fluency in English; additional regional languages a plus.
