Director of Hotel Commercial Operations

About the role

The Director of Hotel Commercial Operations will act as the commercial engine for The Laurus portfolio, driving top‑line revenue and EBITDA while partnering closely with sales, brand, and digital teams. This senior position focuses on strategy, market positioning, and disciplined sales execution, without direct responsibility for day‑to‑day hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own portfolio revenue and EBITDA performance, developing commercial strategies to maximise RevPAR, ADR and total revenue.
• Design and implement segment‑driven sales strategies for corporate, leisure and MICE markets.
• Optimise distribution mix across direct, OTA, GDS and third‑party channels to improve acquisition cost and profitability.
• Champion pricing integrity and yield management in collaboration with the revenue management team.
• Build and maintain high‑value relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners and event organisers.
• Establish robust reporting frameworks, translate analytics into actionable strategies and present performance updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Hospitality, Business or a related field.
• 10–15 years of commercial leadership experience in hospitality, preferably with multi‑property or regional responsibility.
• Proven track record of driving revenue and EBITDA in a franchised hotel environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence without direct operational control.
• Highly analytical, commercially astute and results‑driven.
