Director of Room Operations

About the role

The Director of Room Operations is the strategic business leader responsible for the overall performance of the property's Rooms Operations, including Front Office, Recreation/Health Club and Housekeeping. This role drives brand standards, revenue growth, associate satisfaction and financial results while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with the brand’s service vision and business objectives.
• Monitor and analyze profitability, guest satisfaction trends, and operational performance to make data‑driven decisions.
• Lead the Rooms management team in setting and executing operational plans that support occupancy, rate management, wage control and other controllable expenses.
• Review financial statements, budget reports and wage progress reports, coaching department heads to address gaps and achieve targets.
• Champion the brand’s service standards across Front Office, Recreation/Health Club and Housekeeping, ensuring consistent delivery.
• Review guest feedback, initiate corrective actions and continuously improve the guest experience.
• Communicate clear departmental goals, align teams, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field + 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a hotel environment.
